This is what a United States Senator said in an interview earlier this year.
Members of the US Congress are afraid of retaliation for speaking their minds?
What?!!
Retaliation from some mob boss? No, retaliation from the President!
What?!!
In a democracy, anyone can peacefully criticize the government without fear of retribution from the government – but apparently, not in THIS democracy, not any more.
Senator Murkowski voted to convict in the second Trump impeachment trail. Mitt Romney, who voted to convict in both impeachment trials, was told by Republican colleagues during the second trial that they voted against conviction out of concern for their families’ safety.
