What We Can Do

On this website we provide important information about protecting democracy; specifically, what actions people can take to fight back against this administration’s lawless overreach.

This is What Democracy Looks Like

You could call democracy a “crowd sport”, since the impact we have is from the accumulation of many people’s efforts, people just like you. This resistance is a process, one that relies on repetition and persistence. Each of us has to do the thing we can, whatever we can and keep doing it. For more information on “doing the thing” click here.

Another way to define this process is by type of activity. Each of these categories below has a link to more details.

Get Information – stay abreast of what’s happening with good information

Spread the Word – tell others about what’s really going on in this government

Help Out – Provide some relief to people impacted by the misdeeds of this administration

Support Organizations – Keep groups and institutions central to our efforts, in the fight; those supporting civil rights, independent media, voting rights and legal action against the administration

Contact Legislators – including Congress and our local government and tell them what we want to see them do

Show Up – for activities and events. Peaceful demonstration has been an important part of our democracy since the beginning.

Boycott – This is one of the oldest types of activism, and one of the most effective.

Maintain Your Spirit and Your Fight – understand what we’re up against, what resistance looks like and what you can do
